Portal Architecture LLP is a firm of chartered architects and designers with experience in many sectors. Our projects range from private houses through to public buildings, each with considered attention to detail. Our services are bespoke for each project and made to suit both residential and commercial clients working at various scales and complexity. Our work encompasses the whole design process from developing the brief to basic sketch ideas through to construction and completion. Based in Bath, we work across the UK with completed projects from London to Somerset and Scotland. We have also worked in SW France on a number of refurbishment projects including the refurbishment of a 14C chateau into a 20 bedroom hotel.

We work with our clients to develop designs that respond to the constraints and opportunities that each site presents. With careful development of a strategy we can help our clients to focus on their aspirations and guide them towards exemplary standards and delightful buildings.

Sensitive to the delicate balance between preserving historic architectural fabric and integrating modern design elements, our work is contextural resulting in elegant and sustainable buildings. We are skilled with conservation, refurbishment and new build projects.
